1987 Census of Wholesale Trade:  Commodity Line Sales                WC87L.

These files show the sales of wholesale establishments with payroll by
commodity line by kind of business.  File 1 (corresponding to printed tables
1, 3, 5, and 7) organizes the data by kind of business within type of oper-
ation; file 2 (tables 2, 4, 6, and 8) organizes the data by broad commodity
line within type of operation.  Detailed commodity lines are shown only in
file 1.  Data for the U.S. appear first, followed by the 15 largest states,
then the 15 largest metropolitan areas.  The U.S. data correspond to those in
print; the state and metro area data are available only in computerized media.

   On the FILE SELECTION MENU  -  Select file 1 or file 2

   On the MAIN MENU you may

1  Select ITEMS       select specific statistics to display out of each record
2  Select RECORDS     select commodity lines, kinds of business and/or areas
3  Add LABELS         add commodity line or kind-of-bus. descrip's or area names

6  Display to Screen
7  Print              send output to printer (use option 5 to configure)
8  EXTRACT DATA       create an extract file in any of 3 formats
