=>UNIVERSE DESCRIPTION

The universe of these files is establishments primarily engaged in
manufacturing with one or more paid employees.  This universe includes all
establishments classified in the manufacturing Standard Industrial
Classification (SIC) codes 2011 through 3999. Both operating establishments
and auxiliary establishments are included in all files.  Manufacturing is
defined as the mechanical or chemical transformation of substances or
materials into new products.

These data are exactly the same as shown in tables 1 through 3 of the
printed Concentration Ratios in Manufacturing report.

=>GEOGRAPHIC COVERAGE

Data are provided by industry level for the United States; no additional
geographic area detail is available.

=>SOFTWARE ACCESS

These data are only accessable via the EXTRACT software; access via the
GO92 software is not available.
