=>UNIVERSE DESCRIPTION

The universe is all service industries establishments with payroll.  Establishments
with no paid employees are not included in the Sources of Receipts or Revenue
files, but are included on the Nonemployer Statistics CD-ROM (CD-EC92-4)
issued October 1995.

=>SUBJECT-MATTER DESCRIPTION

The data files included on the Sources of Receipts or Revenue files of this
CD-ROM contains all of the data in the printed report, "Sources of Receipts or
Revenue" (SC92-S-4).  These files also contain data for MAs not selected for the
printed report.

The SC92L1.dbf file provides 1992 data by revenue line within kind of business for
firms subject to Federal income tax.  The TC92L1.dbf file provides data by
revenue line within kind of business for firms exempt from Federal income tax.

Services, SIC Major Groups 70-89, include establishments primarily engaged in
providing a wide variety of services for individuals, businesses and government
establishments, and other organizations.  Hotels and other lodging places;
establishments providing personal, business, automotive, repair and amusement
services; health, legal engineering and other professional services; educational
institutions; membership organizations; and other miscellaneous services are
included.

EXTRACT   This software system, included on this CD-ROM, provides access
to both data files listed in Type of File.

GO92      This software system, also included on this CD-ROM, provides a
more "user-friendly" access to selected statistics from the economic census.  These
include the number of establishments, number of employees, receipts for taxable
establishments and revenue for tax-exempt establishments.  GO92 allows the
user to select any geographic area and show data by kind of business, or to select
any kind of business and show data for all geographic areas of a particular type, for
example, counties within a specified state.

=>RELEASE SCHEDULE

This is the final CD-ROM in the 1992 Economic Census Volume I series.  It
contains all of the data published by Services for SIC's 70 through 89.
