This industry group comprises establishments primarily engaged in (1) finishing of textiles, fabrics, and apparel; (2) converting the fabrics and textiles by buying the fabric goods in the grey, having them finished on a contract, and selling them at wholesale; and (3) coating, laminating, varnishing, waxing, and rubberizing textiles and apparel. Fabric and textile finishing includes bleaching, dyeing, printing, stonewashing, mechanical finishing, preshrinking, sponging, etc.
