This industry group comprises establishments primarily engaged in (1) manufacturing woven, tufted, ands other carpets and rugs, such as art squares, floor mattings, needlepunch carpeting, and door mats and mattings and/or finishing carpets and rugs; and (2) manufacturing household textile products, such as curtains, draperies, linens sheets, towels, etc., from purchased materials. Many of these products can be made on a stock or custom basis for sale to individual retail customers.
