The AES trade interface for commodity filing is undergoing a redesign 
which has resulted in changes to the reporting formats as well as 
various modifications of how AES validates commodity data.   While 
every effort was made to keep changes to the formats at a minimum, 
the redesign has resulted in record format changes that will require 
moditifying your AES interface software.  These modifications are 
presented in the  April 2004 AESTIR which 
has been posted to the CBP Web site:

The commodity redesign is scheduled to be implemented in AES 
effective April 2004.  The redesign will be available in the AES 
Education region in February 2004 for you to begin testing your 
software changes.
