AES software certification is the process that results in the testing
and approval of software used to transmit Electronic Export Information (EEI) to AES. This process
is used by USPPIs, authorized agents or service centers who choose
to develop their own software rather than purchase it. This process
is also used by software developers who plan to sell their AES certified
software.
For USPPIs and authorized agents, completion of the AES software
certification process satisfies the requirement for filer certification.
