Today, I'm here to remind you that the new Foreign Trade Regulations published on June 2, 2008 are now in effect.
After September 30, 2008, exporters who submit Shippers Export Declarations (SEDs) will be in violation…
…of the Foreign Trade Regulations and penalties will be imposed.
Your export information must be filed electronically through the Automated Export System.
In addition, all exporters must adhere to the new filing times determined by the mode of transportation.
It is important that you understand these new requirements…
…so that you avoid penalties for failing to file or for filing late.
